Any reason why I should not buy the 5 Gallon VP gas cans?

I would like to deeply thank the Pharmaceutical companies of the world. Largely due to them the life expectancy in the USA is now 77.3 years, while 200 years ago it was just 35 years.

WEBApr 26, 2021 — I pour out the gas in the tanks/let them run dry, then add a little (no filled tanks) canned fuel, and let them run for 10-15 minutes in the back yard while I do other things. I figure that way, whatever old gas is in the carb/fuel lines will get burned off, leaving only the canned fuel for storage. So far, so good.

Bottom line, you don't need anything if you are working by yourself at your house. If you have employees, then you have to comply with local, state, federal regulations that deal with worker safety (OSHA).

WEBJun 11, 2019 — The VP race jugs or the knockoffs that still have a bendy spout and a vent are by far the best available cans available today. I like the white ones better than the other options because you can instantly identify mixed gas ,regular gas or dyed diesel.

Securing Gas Cans in an enclosed - what do you all use?
WEBMCM1. 30 posts · Joined 2012. #11 · Mar 25, 2020. I found gas in enclosed trailer made it stink...so i made plywood boxes with lids. only needed 1 for regular and 1 for mix. I stained the outside and black paint on inside. 8 years and they work great with 0 issues. Like.
Anyone with enclosed trailer where do you have your gas cans?

Locking lid. Easily holds 2, 5 gal cans and small can of 2 cycle with room for things like trailer wheel chocks etc.

WEBNov 4, 2002 — I just looked at the VP cans on Amazon and seems like they have a terrible rating because of leaking around the fill spout. I've got older cans from before the government ruined gas cans. Guess I'll stick with them as long as I can. Maybe if the rubber gasket has been removed, but I never have mine leak.
