Hendrick Cardiac Rehabilitation program begins in the hospital following your cardiac intervention (angioplasty/stent) or surgery (coronary artery bypass or valve replacement/repair) and can be continued as an outpatient in the Cardiac Rehab units located on our campuses. Cardiac rehabilitation assists patients with modifying their individual risk factors for heart disease, including nutrition, exercise, stress, smoking, hypertension, cholesterol, relationships, weight and medications, as they go through the recovery process. The optimal goal is to help patients develop and maintain a heart-healthy lifestyle, which often enhances their quality of life.
