Dont be afraid to hire one of the old American cars that are available at the front of the terminal. Pick a good one for a short trip to see how it goes. If no good pick another. You can negotiate with the driver a price $50/$100 US for a day tour of Havana is about right. Most will take US dollars. Go to Hemmingways house also.

7 CUC is the entrance fee to La Cabaña and it allows you access to all museum rooms in the Castle, the chapel and any temporary art and arms exhibits. La Cabaña opens at 9:00 a.m. and it closes at 6:00 p.m. Please note that the Canon shot ceremony in the evening cost 14 CUC upon my last visit. La Cabaña hosts several relevant events every year like the Havana Art Biennial among some others and entrance fees may increase accordingly.
