The HK Convention Centre is located at the water on HK Island in the area known as Wan Chai. The CIEFC is located in Mainland China in the city of Guangzhou (Canton) and is approximately a two (2) hour “Through Train” journey from the Hung Hom Train Terminal across Victoria Harbour on the peninsula of Tsim Sha Tsui. There are several “Western” hotels in the City of Shenzhen which is across the HK Border into Mainland China. There are several cities on the highway to Guangzhou but I have never stopped in any of them so I cannot provide any comments about hotel accommodations. Once you get into Guangzhou you will again find several “Western” hotels to choose from.
