PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Following Michigan State’s 43-point blowout win against Maryland last week, coach Tom Izzo called it one of this team’s best performances in years. The same can’t be said about the follow-up but the Spartans still survived.
Michigan had to really work for this one. The team that started the season blowing every team out of the water was the one trying to swim out of a rip current. After Michigan took a 3-2 lead in the first two minutes, Nebraska took control and were comfortably holding the lead.

Defense, composure lift Michigan over unbeaten Nebraska
Michigan held Nebraska to 1-of-13 from three in the second half and rallied late to beat the previously unbeaten Cornhuskers in Ann Arbor.
The number of people living in Michigan's population increased by roughly 28,000 residents or 0.3% between July 1, 2024 and July 1, 2025.
