The Warriors and Jazz aren't too close on trade proposals for Lauri Markkanen, according to Shams Charania of the Athletic.

The Golden State Warriors could potentially back out of negotiations for Lauri Makkanen. According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Utah Jazz want a package centered around Moses Moody, Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin Podziemski and future draft capital in return for the multi-skilled forward.

The Jazz reportedly have set their sights on Brandin Podziemski, one of the Warriors' young players, in potential Lauri Markkanen trade talks.

The Golden State Warriors are reportedly interested in acquiring Lauri Markkanen from the Utah Jazz. He would provide the size and skill the team has been missing in the frontcourt for multiple years. However, Danny Ainge is a notoriously difficult negotiator, and that could lead to a drawn-out trade saga.

At this point in the offseason, though, there are more rotation-caliber players available on the trade market than on the free-agent market. Not everyone on this list will be traded, but there's at least reason to believe that they could (still) be.
