NEW YORK, NY. (WIBW) - The Kansas City Royals dropped the opening game of the ALDS to the New York Yankees 6-5 on Saturday night at Yankee Stadium. The Royals got on the board first in the top of the second. Tommy Pham hit a sacrifice fly to center, scoring Yuli Gurriel to make it 1-0 KC.

Hours later, in a 6-5 loss to the Yankees, the Royals reverted. Starter Michael Wacha walked the first batter he faced. He walked the last batter he faced, too. Angel Zerpa, who relieved Wacha, walked in a run. So did John Schreiber, who relieved Zerpa.
