The ALDS opens with a battle between the New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals, Saturday at 6:38 p.m. ET, at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees will call on Gerrit Cole (8-5, 3.41 ERA) versus the Royals and Michael Wacha (13-8, 3.35 ERA).

The Yankees now know who they’re facing in the ALDS — and it’s not their divisional rival. The Bronx Bombers will face the Royals in the second round of the MLB postseason after Kansas City swept the Orioles in two games in the AL Wild Card Series.
