American Amanda Anisimova heads into her first-ever Wimbledon final and will face Polish tennis star Iga Świątek on Saturday.

Amanda Anisimova ousted the world's No. 1 female tennis player, Aryna Sabalenka, on Thursday in the Wimbledon semi-finals — shocking the sports world as the American moves onto the finals. "Amazing Amanda!" sports announcers called, as the 12th-ranked player beat Sabalenka 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 to nab her first-ever spot on center court.

There were two so-called 'double bagels' at this year's Wimbledon -- the term used to describe a match ending 6-0 6-0 -- and American Amanda Anisimova starred in both. The first one launched the 23-year-old on the path to her first Grand Slam final as she thrashed Yulia Putintseva.

In 1998, Konstantin Anisimov and Olga Anisimova moved to the U.S. from Russia with their then-10-year-old daughter, Amanda's older sister Maria Egee, to give her more opportunities. After Amanda was born in 2001, the family of four moved again from New Jersey to Florida to support Maria’s growing tennis ambitions.

Tyler Roos: Anisimova has been dating Tyler Roos, a former contestant on The Amazing Race Australia and son of Australian rules football legend Paul Roos, since mid-2020. Their relationship began after Konstantin’s passing, and they occasionally appear on her Instagram.
