France summoned U.S. Ambassador Charles Kushner on Sunday after he published an open letter to French President Emmanuel Macron accusing the government of failing to effectively take action on anti-Semitism.

France strongly rejected the “unacceptable” allegations in Kushner’s letter, which the ministry said “fall short of the quality of the transatlantic relationship” between the US and France.
