A man lit a fire near the Chatsworth Reservoir, authorities say, but firefighters were able to contain the blaze and residents chased down the suspect.

With deputies rushing to the scene, a group of neighbors in Chatsworth chased down a man they said started a couple of brush fires near their homes. Amanda Starrantino reports.

A man was arrested for an alleged arson after a group of witnesses spotted him lighting a fire in Chatsworth on Monday and detained him until deputies arrived, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
