Monday was an eventful day in the NBA. Not only did Shams Charania of ESPN report that Giannis Antetokounmpo is open to leaving the Milwaukee Bucks for the first time in his career, but the Dallas Mavericks also won the 2025 draft lottery.

The draft lottery delivered a true stunner, with the Dallas Mavericks improbably cashing their 1.8 percent chance to land the No. 1 pick. Even before that improbable ping-pong ball bounce, the rumor mill was in a frenzy with trade talks surrounding a two-time MVP (who's very much still in his prime).

The Dallas Mavericks won the draft lottery on Monday, so they have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 draft. Dallas winning the draft lottery wasn’t the biggest NBA story on Monday, though.
