Two SSI checks will be sent out in May, one for May and another for June. According to the Social Security Administration’s payment calendar, SSI recipients won't receive a check in June since the June SSI payment is scheduled for May 30. The June payment is issued early because June 1 falls on a weekend.

Some Social Security payments for May will go out on a different schedule than normal to accommodate a few quirks in the calendar. Namely, for the first time in 2025, beneficiaries will get two Supplemental Security Income (SSI) checks in the same month.
