The National Hurricane Center on Monday continued to track Tropical Storm Fernand in the open Atlantic but dropped its forecast a system entering the Caribbean would develop into the

The storm is moving toward the north-northeast near 12 mph and this motion is expected to continue for the next day or so, followed by a turn to the northeast, according to the hurricane center. Fernand is expected to begin weakening on Monday night, Aug. 25, and is expected to become post-tropical by Wednesday, Aug. 27.

Tracking one area in the Atlantic…. Tropical Storm Fernand is over 300 miles east of Bermuda. It’s moving quickly to the northeast nearly 15 mph, and it will continue to pick up speed over the next few days. Fernand will become a nontropical system by Wednesday morning in the North Atlantic. It will have no impact on land.
