Oasis have announced a new reunion tour film to be created and produced by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.

Oasis — a notoriously chill band — are going on tour for the first time since 2009 beginning this July. Along the way, they will be filmed for a movie about the reunion, produced by Steven Knight ( Peaky Blinders) and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace ( Meet Me In The Bathroom ).

We still don't know who will join Liam and Noel Gallagher on stage for Oasis‘ eagerly anticipated 2025 reunion tour. But even if you weren't able to score tickets to the siblings' upcoming first live shows since their acrimonious break-up in 2009,

Oasis have confirmed a new film is being made in conjunction with their upcoming reunion tour. The film is being created and produced by Peaky Blinders scribe Steven Knight and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace,

And, following what’s probably been the most hard-fought battle in documentary filmmaking of the last ten years, it’s Steven Knight, the BAFTA and Oscar-nominated writer, producer and director of Peaky Blinders, that’s just landed the boss-man behind-the-camera gig.

The Peaky Blinders ‘ creator, Steven Knight, is hopeful the upcoming film will be shown on the silver screen. Knight, who also wrote the hit Netflix show, recently told The Playlist about the highly-anticipated film that finished shooting a few months ago and it’s star-studded cast.

The original series ran on Netflix for six seasons from 2013 to 2022 and, after years of speculation, a “Peaky Blinders” film was officially announced in June 2024. Cillian Murphy will return as star and producer and Tom Harper is set to direct.

An Oasis movie produced by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight will be made in conjunction with the band's reunion tour. The Britpop band, who split in 2009 prompted by a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival, confirmed their long-awaited reunion in August 2024.

Steven Knight—the creator of Peaky Blinders and recent Hulu series A Thousand Blows—is on board to produce. The film will be directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, who’ve already made a name for themselves as rockumentary directors.

Despite past rumblings, Oasis will document their 2025 reunion tour with the help of Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight with a new documentary. The documentary film was announced on March 13, 2025.
