The Rays have until Dec. 1 to declare whether they want to commit to the construction of a $1.3 billion stadium originally voted on in July.

The Rays say the delays complicated their construction timelines, pushing the stadium opening back a year to 2029 and denying the club anticipated revenue. The team said it had suspended work on the project, including the broader, $6.5 billion mixed-use redevelopment of the surrounding Historic Gas Plant District.
