The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control​ has issued a recreational water advisory on Thursday for Rehoboth Beach due to high bacterial results.

Higher than normal levels of fecal bacteria were detected in the water in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, prompting an advisory that anyone immunocompromised should avoid taking a dip this Fourth of July weekend.

A recreational water advisory was issued yesterday for the portion of Rehoboth Beach at Rehoboth Avenue after testing found elevated levels of bacteria in the water.
