"Moana 2" is expected to make waves at the box office over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The sequel to Disney's musical hit "Moana" opens in 4,200 North American theaters on Wednesday and is projected to collect between $135 million to $145 million in its first five days of release.

With 'Moana 2,' 'Wicked' and 'Gladiator II' on the table, domestic revenue for the five-day holiday corridor is expected to hit an all-time high north of $300 million.

Disney will have plenty to be thankful for when 'Moana 2' hits theaters this Thanksgiving, as it's projected to make $135 million domestically.
