Five years after a devastating fire almost consumed the cathedral, an army of artisans has brought it back to life

From “apocalypse to resurrection”, a “dazzling” Notre-Dame finally opened its doors to the world on Friday with the first images of its restored interior five years after the cathedral was ravaged by fire.

Dozens of people who helped rebuild Paris’ historic Notre-Dame after it was devastated by a fire five years ago will gather next month to perform a song celebrating its reopening.
