AEW CEO Tony Khan keeps teasing that an announcement is coming. Tony Khan announced that TBS had given AEW their biggest overrun ever for the October 2 episode of AEW Dynamite. He also noted that this would not be the only announcement today.

Ahead of WBD announcing a new rights deal with AEW, Tony Khan took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce that TBS was giving the show its "longest overrun ever."

Tony Khan says he’ll be making an announcement before Wednesday’s fifth-anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite. Taking to Twitter, the AEW President hyped an announcement and also revealed that the show will feature an overrun. He wrote,

He did so in an article that also includes Warner Bros. Discovery’s Kathleen Finch talking about growing their wrestling business on streaming and saying, ‘Nobody can deliver an audience the way AEW can.

AEW President Tony Khan spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about today’s announcement, hailing it as the “biggest day in AEW’s history.” Khan also shared that tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite, marking the fifth anniversary of the show’s debut, will commemorate the newly announced deal.
