The Maui Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that happened on Monday, Sept. 16 near the intersection of Honoapiilani Highway and Waiolu Place.

You hear about it on Oahu all the time, but you don’t ever hear about it, like we hardly ever hear about it on Maui and let alone Waikapu. You ever hear about something like that, it’s such a small town,

"The Maui Police Department extends our deepest condolences to Mr. Lewis’ family and friends. The cause of death is pending autopsy."

On Maui, police are investigating the death of 42-year-old Shawn Lewis of Lahaina. M-P-D says he was killed in a shooting Monday just after midnight.
