Jachym, a Congressional intern in Washington, D.C., was shot and killed on Monday. He was an intern for Rep. Ron Estes (R-Kan).

Tarpinian-Jachym, 21, was shot standing on 7th Street Northwest near the Walter E. Reed Convention Center Monday. He was in D.C. for the summer interning for Rep. Ron Estes (R-Kan.). One day after being shot, the University of Massachusetts-Amherst student died in the hospital.
