Wayanad is witnessing a triangular contest between Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, BJP's Navya Haridas, and the Left candidate Sathyan Mokeri.

Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday surpassed the 3.64 lakh lead achieved by her brother Rahul Gandhi in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls earlier this year, as she comfortably cruises towards her maiden electoral win from the Wayanad seat in Kerala.

Mananthavady (ST), Sulthan Bathery (ST), and Kalpetta in Wayanad district; Thiruvambady in Kozhikode district; and Eranad, Nilambur, and Wandoor in Malappuram district.

She also thanked her family for their support, "To my mother, Robert, and my two jewels—Raihan and Miraya—no gratitude is ever enough for the love and courage you give me.

In the 2024 elections, Rahul Gandhi won Wayanad with 6,47,445 votes, beating his opponent by 3,64,422 votes. As of now, Priyanka has secured 5,78,526 votes and counting is still ongoing. Sathyan Mokeri from the Communist Party of India (CPI) is far behind with 2,02,261 votes, while BJP candidate Navya Haridas is in third place with 1,06,724 votes.
