A couple fielding errors by the Brewers in the sixth inning led to a deficit and ultimately defeat to the Giants at American Family Field.

Willy Adames held his helmet above his head as he stood near home plate and acknowledged the ovation he was given by Milwaukee Brewers fans at American Family Field. He then gave Brewers catcher and former teammate William Contreras a hug and nodded in the direction of starting pitcher Jose Quintana.

In Miller’s absence, Joey Lucchesi and Matt Gage have served as the Giants’ left-handed presences in the bullpen. Lucchesi, a Newark native, owns a 3.13 ERA over 23 innings, while Gage is posting a 0.45 ERA over 20 innings.

Dominic Smith hit a three-run single and Drew Gilbert and Tyler Fitzgerald added solo homers as the San Francisco Giants beat the Tampa Bay Rays 7-1.
