Woodside (NYSE:WDS) signed an agreement with BP (NYSE:BP) on Tuesday for the integrated energy major to supply natural gas to the Louisiana LNG project. This agreement represents the first tranche of a diversified portfolio of feedgas that will support the Louisiana LNG project,

Global energy giant BP will supply natural gas to Woodside for its Louisiana LNG project, marking Woodside’s first secured tranche of feed gas for the site. Under the agreement, GasCo, a subsidiary of Louisiana LNG, will buy up to 640 billion cubic feet of gas from BP starting in 2029 for delivery via pipeline.

Australian company Woodside Energy announced Tuesday that it has approved a plan for a Louisiana LNG project. The company said the $17.5 billion investment will be made in the LNG project, pipeline, and management reserve.
