Deshaun Watson’s role with the Cleveland Browns is quietly changing. After two Achilles injuries, Watson is taking increased practice reps, working with the scout team, and staying involved with quarterbacks meetings.

The Browns recently designated QB Deshaun Watson to return from the PUP list, and he participated in practice in a limited fashion for the first time this season.

Sanders, a fifth-round pick this past April, has started Cleveland’s last two games. Fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, who started the Browns’ previous six games, entered concussion protocol during the Nov. 16 loss to the rival Baltimore Ravens.

Stefanski said that Watson would do individual drills first.
