A Louisiana good Samaritan helped a police officer chase shoplifters by offering her car during dramatic pursuit at a store in Slidell.

The man wanted for allegedly shooting an East Texas police officer on Sunday is in custody, police said Wednesday night.

A man suspected of stealing a truck in southern Colorado was shot in Pueblo after leading Monument officers on a more than 50-mile chase down Interstate 25.
