The Big South Conference has released its 2026 preseason softball poll, with three teams earning at least one first-place vote.

HUNTINGTON - After a disappointing loss in the first game of a doubleheader, Marshall softball rebounded with an 8-3 win over Radford to split the afternoon's contests at Dot Hicks Field.

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Radford swept a softball doubleheader from Toledo (1-11) 9-1 and 8-3 on Wednesday to stretch its winning streak to eight games and finish the Under Armour Invitational 7-0.

Radford sophomore outfielder Lexie Roberts was named the Big South softball player of the year on Wednesday, becoming the first Highlander to earn that honor in 12 years.
