After starting 2 for 8 from the field, Edgecombe made 8 of his last 10 shots and tallied 23 points. The 20-year-old now has six 20-point outings in the NBA, including three in a row. He’s up to 39.3 percent from three-point range and is averaging 15.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals.

The Sixers closed a successful back-to-back with a win over the Mavericks Saturday. Now, that’s how you handle a back-to-back. After beating the red-hot New York Knicks Friday, the Sixers returned home Saturday to beat the Dallas Mavericks 121-114. The Sixers have now won three of their last four and sit at 16-11 overall.

About 30 miles away from where he went to high school, VJ Edgecombe played at Madison Square Garden for the first time. It was a performance to remember.
