The Atlanta Braves have acknowledged the accomplishments of a Boston-era slugger. Wally Berger was inducted into the team Hall of Fame ahead of Saturday's game against the New York Mets. During his induction, he was dubbed as “The original slugger in Braves history.”

The Atlanta Braves’ hopes of getting third baseman Austin Riley back in the near future have taken a step back. On Tuesday, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Gabe Burns reported that Riley experienced renewed soreness in his abdomen during a workout and is not expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list anytime soon.

The Cincinnati Reds designated Jake Fraley for assignment on Aug. 17 and the Braves claimed him off waivers on Aug. 19.
