According to The Telegraph, Nwaneri’s preference is to remain at Arsenal and progress has been made in talks over an extension in recent weeks. Chelsea, however, have made an enquiry during the talks that took place during negotiations over the transfer of Noni Madueke.

Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Chelsea winger Noni Madueke ahead of a possible move for the England international. An agreement between the Premier League teams is yet to be reached but 23-year-old Madueke is believed to be open to moving across London should the clubs strike a deal.
