The Philadelphia Flyers entered their matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights seeking to build on their momentum of an overtime win against the Chicago Blackhawks—and, for a lot of the game, it looked as though they were poised to do so.

Couturier, Morgan Frost, Matvei Michkov, and Emil Andrae had the Flyers surging out of the gate, but they failed to close out Vegas.

The Flyers went 2-2-1 on their five-game homestand after losing to the Golden Knights, 5-4, in a shootout Monday night.

The Flyers lead 3-0 early in the second period before Vegas, who entered the game scoring fourth most goals per game in the NHL, roared back.

Emil Andrae scored his first career goal for Philadelphia, and Matvei Michkov netted his eighth goal of the season. Morgan Frost and Sean Couturier also scored for the Flyers, who blew a 3-0 lead.
