Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud's availability is "uncertain" for next Thursday's Week 12 matchup with the Buffalo Bills, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Davis Mills will start again for Texans against Tennessee as C.J. Stroud remains in concussions protocol along with Jalen Pitre who is also out.

It will again be Davis Mills under center for the Houston Texans this week, as coach DeMeco Ryans ruled out C.J. Stroud for Sunday's showdown with the Tennessee Titans due to the concussion he suffered during the Week 9 loss vs. the Denver Broncos. Stroud has not participated in practice since suffering the concussion on Nov. 2.

Rookie wideouts Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel have seen their snap counts and touches go up and down. Fourth-round running back Woody Marks has consistently split his reps with the veteran Nick Chubb, and in turn, it's raised a few questions for just how long it'll take for the Texans to take the training wheels off their explosive young talent.
