Australia's No.3 batter Marnus Labuschagne reckons that Sam Konstas got under the skin of India pacer Jasprit Bumrah.

Indian superstar Jasprit Bumrah has mocked Sam Konstas with a bashful celebration after dismissing the Australian teenager on Sunday. Konstas domimated Bumrah in the Aussie debutant’s impressive first innings on Boxing Day but was unable to repeat the heroics in his second crack at India.

Konstas, who took on Bumrah's pace attack aggressively, struck the Indian pacer for two sixes in the opening hours of the match, despite struggling initially. Bumrah, speaking to the host broadcaster on Day 3, shared his experience facing the debutant, acknowledging that his style was not unfamiliar to him due to his extensive T20 career.

India quick Jasprit Bumrah has had the last laugh against Sam Konstas after removing the 19-year-old Aussie debutant cheaply in the first session of day four at the MCG. A stunning maiden century for Nitish Kumar Reddy (114) on Saturday left the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar series on a knife's edge but he only added another nine more runs on Sunday as India were bowled out for 369 - trailing Australia's first innings score by 105 runs.

Konstas became the first batter in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy to hit a six against Bumrah. While most of the other Australian batters struggled to even withstand the pressure posed by the marquee Indian pacer, Konstas showed a new way he could be tackled.

That wasn't all. In the 11th over, Konstas topped his previous assault on Bumrah, bludgeoning 19 off the India quick, hitting two fours and a six to go with a double. The two overs meant that Konstas' 34 runs off 33 balls faced by Bumrah are the most any batter has scored off him in Tests, going past 25 off 40 by Alastair Cook in 2018.
