TPA releases statement on potential flight reductions due to federal shutdown
In a social media post, Tampa International Airport said, “Well, folks, we’re potentially one of the 40 airports that could face FAA-mandated flight reductions due to the federal government shutdown. We’ve heard that up to 10% of our 600 daily flights could be affected, though we don’t yet have confirmed details.
Starting Friday, the FAA announced air traffic will be reduced by 10% at 40 major markets if the government shutdown drags on.
