Warriors rookie Will Richard makes debut vs Spurs
Digest more
Golden State Warriors rookie Will Richard may have made his NBA Summer League debut on Sunday, but it sounds like the moment he'll remember most from that night actually happened off the court.
Richard was the last of three Gators to hear their name called in the draft. Star point guard Walter Clayton went No. 18 overall to the Jazz, and Alijah Martin was taken No. 39 overall by the Raptors. The two-guard will compete for minutes with Brandin Podziemski, Moses Moody, Buddy Hield and possibly Gary Payton II.
Former Florida guards Alijah Martin and Will Richard hope to be among the 30 players selected in the NBA Draft’s second round.
The Warriors have been harshly criticized by their fans, who are asking for new signings to keep the team among the elite in the NBA.
