MAME doesn't have a Mac double-clickable app - and to use it on a Mac, you'll need to know how to use Apple's Terminal app, or find a third party front-end to run it with.

Apple announced in its State of the Platforms presentation at WWDC25 that Terminal is getting a colorful boost in macOS 26, with support for 24-bit color and the ability to use Powerline fonts.
