By Joseph Ax (Reuters) -Abortion rights advocates are working to place the issue on ballots in nearly a dozen U.S. states in November's election, including several expected to play central roles in the presidential race and the battle for control of Congress.

In Missouri, abortion was banned almost immediately after Roe v. Wade was overturned. Two years later, there's an effort to enshrine abortion access in the state's constitution by putting it on the ballot this election cycle.

Two conflicting ballot initiatives - one to expand access to abortion and one that would keep it limited to the first trimester - are poised to make it on the November ballot in Nebraska.
