Democrat Larry Pemberton Jr. has won Connecticut’s special election in the 139th General Assembly district, according to the Connecticut Democratic Party and unofficial numbers from the Secretary of the State.

Candidates include Democrat Larry Pemberton and Republican Brandon Sabbag, plus write-in candidate Mark Adams, who ran for the House seat in the past.

With Pemberton’s victory, the House will return to full strength, with Democrats once again holding a 102-49 super majority.
