PANAMA CITY, FL. (WMBB) — Zoo World at Panama City Beach now has a new African White Lion cub named Zee. She is the first lion cub in five years at the zoo. She was born on January 28 at Zoo World.

White lion cubs aren't born pure white. Their fur darkens after birth but gradually lightens as they grow older. Both parents must carry the recessive white lion gene for a cub to be born white.
