Bob Uecker, the Brewers' beloved broadcaster, was honored in his hometown of Milwaukee with an hour-long pregame program in front of a sellout crowd.

Bob Uecker’s Hall of Fame broadcasting career began only after the Milwaukee Brewers initially hired him as a scout.Former Brewers owner and MLB Commissioner Bud Selig said it didn’t take long to realize Uecker might be better suited for a different role.

"Thank you for showing up today to say "so long" to our Bob. We will surely share a laugh, and maybe shed a tear, while we honor him in the most fitting of ways … at the place he loved so much, surrounded by the people he loved even more.
