Investor Whitney Tilson, who often pushed corporations to perform better for shareholders and employees while running a New York-based hedge fund, has entered the race to replace New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

Former hedge fund manager Whitney Tilson plans to run for New York City mayor, joining a crowded field of Democrats seeking to succeed the embattled Eric Adams next year.

Tilson, 58, is a longtime Demcorat donor who made headlines this summer when he was one of the loudest voices calling Joe Biden to step down after his meandering CNN debate showing.

New York City head coach Nick Cushing has been sacked by the club amid interest from Women's Super League club Arsenal. Cushing, who led former club Manchester City to the WSL title in 2016 during a seven-year spell in charge, is one of the candidates to replace Jonas Eidevall in north London.
