Apple's largest iPhone producer has reportedly ordered hundreds of its India-based Chinese workers to return to their native China but for unspecified reasons.

Foxconn Technology Group has asked hundreds of Chinese engineers and technicians to return home from its iPhone factories in India, dealing a blow to Apple Inc.’s manufacturing push in the South Asian country.

Apple’s biggest assembly partner, Foxconn, has ordered more than 300 of its Chinese employees to return home from its iPhone factories in India, Bloomberg reported, citing anonymous sources. The employees told to return account for the bulk of Foxconn’s staff in its iPhone facilities in India,

A panel of Indian lawmakers will review safety in the country's civil aviation sector and has invited several industry and government officials to answer questions on July 9, with topics set to include Air India's recent plane crash.

An aviation expert believes it is possible to rule out one potential cause of the Air India crash, which killed around 270 people. The plane had just taken off from Ahmedabad airport in India and was destined for London Gatwick when it crashed into a built-up area on June 12.

The preliminary probe report on the Air India crash, in which 270 people were killed, including 241 on board the flight, is expected to be released by July 11, media reports said.
