Last year, Michigan scored an improbable 13-10 upset win over the Buckeyes despite having a 6-5 record and closing as 19.5-point underdogs. The win not only shocked the college football world, but marked the Wolverines’ fourth straight victory in the rivalry. Ohio State would go on to the win national championship.
Ohio State (11-0, 8-0 Big Ten) goes into Michigan Stadium unbeaten and atop the AP poll for the first time since 1973. That game ended in a 10-10 tie. OSU also is trying to avoid dropping five straight to The Team Up North for the first time since Michigan reeled off six straight wins from 1922 to '27.
Dominating Maryland isn't proof that Michigan can beat No. 1 Ohio State, but the Wolverines are improving just in time once again.
