Indie metroidvania Hollow Knight has seen a sharp uptick in popularity since the big Silksong release date reveal, reaching over 33K peak players on Steam.

As pretty much the whole world knows by now, Hollow Knight: Silksong finally has a release date after six years of waiting. September 4 is finally the day that we can all dive into Hornet's stand-alone adventure and stop the endless silkposting and wondering what's taken Team Cherry so long.

The 2017 original Hollow Knight is getting a nice bump on Steam. 2017's Hollow Knight just reached a new all-time peak concurrent-player record on Steam, and the achievement came just after developer Team Cherry announced the release date for its sequel, Silksong.
