Marshal Shepherd, 19, was charged with two felony counts of attempted first-degree murder and one felony count of home invasion.

Pittsburgh police say an officer working on East Carson Street heard gunshots around 1 a.m. between South 11th Street and South 12th Street. First responders found a woman on the ground shot in the lower leg. She was conscious, alert and talking with officers and medics on scene, and later taken to a hospital in stable condition.

Chicago police are trying to figure out who shot and killed a woman early Tuesday morning in the Washington Heights neighborhood as she was inside a home when shots were fired.

Jasmane Taylor is suspected of a killing a woman in her own apartment. A witness told police Taylor was upset the woman may have given people Taylor's real name.
