Destiny 2 has just introduced its new “roguelike” activity for Episode Heresy, where “Nether” does not let you regenerate health normally. There are ways around this.

Healing in The Nether activity in Destiny 2 is greatly reduced due to the mode’s roguelite inspiration. The goal is for you to seek out alternative forms of healing aside from passive restoration, such as Healing Grenades and the support frame auto rifle introduced in The Final Shape expansion.

Most of this season's rewards are unearthed in The Nether, a true roguelike experience that trades HP recovery for RNG boons. If you can handle the strange buildcraft restrictions in this mode, you can walk away with some fantastic new weapons and important upgrades for Heresy's new Tomb of Want.

Destiny 2 developers have confirmed that the confusing health tuning in the new Nether activity is actually a bug.

A new reward structure has been added in Destiny 2's Heresy episode. Called the Tome of Want, this strange device can be used to evoke powerful rituals that award seasonal gear, crafting materials, and even Exotic Engrams.

Alongside Episode Heresy, Destiny 2 releases a major update making adjustments to the game's sandbox, weapons, and other activities.
