Polish border guards discovered over 100 kg of cocaine on the bottom of the Baltic Sea while conducting operations to protect critical infrastructure, the border guard said on Tuesday.

Polish border guards have seized cocaine with a black market value of €14.4 million ($15.1 million) from the seabed of Gdańsk Bay, a border guard spokeswoman told the news agency PAP on Tuesday. About 100 kilograms of the drug were hidden in plastic bags and recovered from the bottom of the Baltic Sea last week by border guard divers in a joint operation with Europol and the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
