Tropical Storm Gordon, which became a named storm Friday, is weakening and forecast to become a depression later Sunday.

The official forecast track from the National Hurricane Center shows Gordon slowly meandering west across the open Atlantic for the next few days, potentially even weakening to a tropical depression. Beyond that, most computer models show the system curving out to sea away from North America.

Tropical Storm Gordon is weakening over the Atlantic, but the Southeast US faces rain from Francine and another storm brewing.

It has a 20% chance of developing over the next two days and a 40% chance of developing over the next seven days.
