San Diego officials unveiled the city’s first AIDS memorial over the weekend in a new Bankers Hill Park that also includes an overlook deck with views of Maple Canyon. The small park at Olive Street and Third Avenue includes memorial boulders and interpretive panels that share the history of the AIDS crisis in San Diego and honor people and organizations who have helped fight AIDS.
